Who We Are
Adolescent Gate Organization (AGO) is a non-governmental organization based in Mwanza, Tanzania, founded in 2021 to address critical gaps in inclusive, adolescent-centered development.
AGO is grounded in the conviction that adolescence is the most decisive stage for shaping lifelong wellbeing and social outcomes. Without intentional investment during this period, cycles of poverty, exclusion, and inequality particularly for girls, adolescents with disabilities, and young mothers persist across generations.
Our Values
Adolescent Gate is guided by strong principles that shape how it works with adolescents, young mothers, and communities. These values define its culture, decision-making, and approach to empowerment.
- Empowerment
- Inclusivity.
- Respect & Dignity
- Integrity
- Collaboration & Community
- Innovation & Learning
We recognize adolescence as a critical stage of life—one that shapes future wellbeing, economic independence, and community development.
Through targeted programs and community-driven initiatives, Adolescent Gate equips young people with essential skills, opportunities, and supportive networks.
Our work enables adolescents and young mothers to overcome challenges, make informed decisions, and build sustainable futures for themselves and their communities.
