Our Mission

Our mission is to equip adolescents and young people with inclusive education, life-saving health information, employable skills, and social-emotional competencies, enabling them to create sustainable change.

Adolescence is a critical stage for lifelong development, where inclusive, high-impact interventions, designed with adolescents’ meaningful participation, can break cycles of poverty and inequality, especially for disabled adolescents.

Organizational Identity & Background

Adolescent Gate Organization (AGO) is a non-governmental organization based in Mwanza, Tanzania, founded in 2021 to address critical gaps in inclusive, adolescent-centered development.
AGO is grounded in the conviction that adolescence is the most decisive stage for shaping lifelong wellbeing and social outcomes. Without intentional investment during this period, cycles of poverty, exclusion, and inequality particularly for girls, adolescents with disabilities, and young mothers persist across generations.
The organization was officially registered in March 2022 under the Non-Governmental Organizations Act of 2002, with Registration Number: 00NGO/R/2974.
