Prisca is 19years old lives in Nyasaka at Ilemela District. She is the member of with our purpose of empowering out of school adolescent girls and teen mothers through its program called Maisha Salama, Prisca joined the group since 2022 that has made her to achieve remarkable success in her business activities.
Her association with the Maisha Salama group has played a significant role in her financial journey, providing her with valuable knowledge and skills. Prisca expresses her deepest gratitude for the support she received from the Adolescent Gate Organization and the Maisha Salama group. The connections she made and the knowledge she gained have not only transformed her life but also empowered her to help others in her community. She believes that these relationships can create a ripple effect, inspiring others to pursue their dreams and work towards financial independence.
“I began my business activities with limited resources and encountered various challenges along the way, including a lack of financial literacy and business management skills and this happened before joining the group but after joining the Maisha Salama group, I get opportunity to learn essential business skills such as managing finances, and customer care services.
This knowledge empowered me to take control of my business and make informed decisions. The Maisha Salama group not only provided me with valuable education but also opened doors to financial resources. Through the group loans program that was the idea of my fellow members which came from the shareholding system that was established for the aim of making saving within the group.
Therefore, I was able to access capital to invest and expand my business activities with this loan my business grew stronger and more profitable that has made me to begin to diversify and improve my business by introducing new products and services that catered to the changing needs of my customers.
My gratitude goes direct to Adolescent Gate Staff who is part of my achievement because before joining the group I was disappointed due to the losses I was getting in my business including losing customers and sometimes using capital to do things that are not basic”. Prisca said
